The The Blood and Tissue Bank has achieved a historic milestone in the Blood Donor Marathon of Catalonia, reaching the impressive figure of 10,343 donations in just 10 days. This edition has become the largest in history, an achievement that demonstrates society’s solidarity and commitment to this vital cause.
As every year, the aim of the Marató (Marathon) is to increase donations and restore blood reserves, which are often affected after the festivities. The activation was carried out in the main hospitals of Catalonia and in 104 municipalities of the territory, facilitating access to donors and promoting massive participation.
From Espinaler 1896, we wanted to be part of this great initiative, giving all our support and voice to the Marathon. As a token of our gratitude to donors, we gave our emblematic Espinaler sauce to those who donated blood at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona and on the donation buses that travelled around the area.
Every donation counts and can save lives. From Espinaler, we reaffirm our commitment to solidarity and encourage all those who can to continue donating. ‘We are what we do’.
